When building a vaccination park in the Sahel countries, two related concerns must be taken into account: animal health and environmental protection.

Everyone has now understood that the livestock must be protected by a vaccination program.

In the village, the breeders have no choice, it is necessary to cut wood to build a vaccination park.

This harms natural resources.

Publicity

When it comes to animal health, there are a lot of things. We have seen that the artisanal construction of vaccination parks destroyed the environment. This is why the Coordination Unit of the regional project to support pastoralism in the Sahel (Praps), in Chad, has built 100 modern parks in 12 provinces of the country. It is then necessary to strengthen the capacities of the veterinary services. That is to say equipment, training, drugs and vaccines. And then work with the breeders.

Indeed, after the construction of such equipment, there remains a crucial phase, how to hand over to the breeders.

What technicians call ownership.

Explain to pastoralists in the area that this park is now their property, and show how to manage this infrastructure.

This leads to long discussions with the main players.
