In mid-September, comedian Bert Visscher will perform for the hundredth time in Theater Carré in Amsterdam.

Sixty-year-old Groninger had almost reached the milestone when all theaters had to close in mid-March 2020 due to the corona pandemic.

At the end of this series, he celebrates his hundredth show in Carré.

His management says that this "will certainly be paid attention to", but cannot yet say in what form.

In addition to Amsterdam, Visscher also catches up with performances in Sneek, Cuyk and Groningen in September.

Toon, Herman & Freek

With his milestone, Visscher is in a list of barely ten great artists who have performed solo on the enormous stage of the theater temple on the Amstel a hundred times or more.

The record holder is Toon Hermans, who performed 550 times in Carré.

In second place is Herman van Veen, who performed more than 500 times in Carré.

Freek de Jonge has appeared on the shelves of the Amsterdam theater just under 300 times.

Of all Dutch comedians, De Jonge was the most often on stage in Carré: more than 600 times in total.

He performed more than half of these performances together with comedian and musician Bram Vermeulen, as the duo Neerlands Hoop in Bange Dagen.
