　　Recently, the Flood Control and Drought Relief Headquarters of Hebi City, Henan Province opened multiple flood storage and detention areas.

The reporter came to Xiwangdu Village, Xiaohe Town, Junxian County on July 25, and saw that the flood had flooded into the village and the villagers had moved. The 305 provincial highway that entered the village had been flooded.

　　Flood storage and detention areas mainly refer to low-lying areas and lakes where floodwater is temporarily stored outside the river embankment, and most of them have historically been places where river floods have been inundated and flooded.

Flood storage and detention areas are an important part of the river flood control system, and are effective measures to ensure key flood control safety and reduce disasters.
