Singers BTS, BTS, who celebrated the 8th anniversary of their debut, who kept the top of the Billboard for 8 weeks in a row, appeared on the 8 o'clock news.

Q. Permission to Dance, number 1 on Billboard...

What does it mean?

[RM: Actually, it's a bit like a dream, really.

It's because of the timing, but actually, when the song "Butter" was released, I didn't expect it to be number one for 7 weeks in a row, and after winning the top spot for 7 weeks in a row, I wish we could just joke with each other and touch the baton. It's an honor to be here and I want to say that I am most grateful to everyone who listened to this song and especially to

ARMYs

.]

Q. Hotshot debut → 1st place for more than 7 weeks → Baton Touch, only 3 teams?

[Jin: I also got to know this through the Internet.

First of all, it is thanks to our fans and ARMYs that we were able to do such things.

Yes, I am so grateful for listening to our music, and I will say that I will work even harder to really repay you.

I love you ARMYs.]

Q. Permission to dance, special choreography… What does it mean?

[J-Hope: As you said, we choreographed the choreography by grafting international sign language, and we even presented a music video and stage with it. In fact, I think I chose international sign language because I wanted to provide positive energy and comfort and hope to more people around the world. There are three actions in total. To briefly explain, spread both thumbs out and bend the other fingers halfway. And there is this gesture of scratching the body, which gives the meaning of 'fun'. And put one hand flat like this, like a stage, and the other hand like a leg, and then shake it from side to side, giving the meaning of 'dance'. The dance where you make a V with two fingers and perform this movement has the meaning of 'peace'. It is something very simple and easy for many people to follow, and in fact, I think that if everyone follows along once, a very meaningful Permission to Dance will be completed.]

Q. What is the Permission to Dance Challenge?

[J-Hope: This is a challenge that started again because I hope that many people around the world can dance happily together. In fact, we also have the energy we get from communicating and interacting with the audience while performing, but in fact, during the long pandemic. It seems that we were thirsty for something inside too. So, through this challenge, I want to quench my thirst and give good positive hope and energy while enjoying something with many people.]

Q. "Sugar's prophecy will come true"… Grammy Award Winner?

[Suga: If possible, I still have the desire to be nominated and challenged once more. And I want to receive it.]

Q. Permission to dance, why is it necessary in this age?

[RM: First of all, 'Heal the World' is a very legendary song, so it's a song we really like too. Such a question itself is a very honorable thing, and it is difficult for us to face anything, it is difficult for people to gather, and in fact, there are many restrictions on our lives as human beings. I thought a lot about the situation, while listening to this song. I want to see a lot of people get together while performing, dancing and jumping while listening to a song together.]

Q. The song 'Blue & Gray' that contains the pain of the Corona era...

What does it mean?

[V: This song is now in a situation that no one expected, both us and everyone else.

So, in the same situation where our work was canceled and all our schedules were all of a sudden, we also had an emptiness in our minds, and depression and anxiety suddenly arose, and we wanted to express those feelings honestly, so I kept writing them down on the notepad.

Now, anxiety and depression are expressed in blue and gray as 'Blue & Gray', and now it is loaded as 'Blue & Gray', a song from the last album 'Be'.]

Q. How did you overcome depression in the Corona era?

[Jungkook: First of all, there was a time when I really wanted to let go of something, because something that had been clearly planned for it collapsed in an instant.

But for sure, seeing our fans or the members next to me gives me strength again, naturally.]

Q. "I know how to land"... What does it mean?

[Suga: I've said a few times that I'm afraid of falling but not of landing, but the difference between this crash and landing is that landing means that you can take off again. So, no matter how desperate the situation is, if we land instead of falling, we don’t give up and if we land, we are ready to fly again. I got a lot of sympathy. And especially, there are countries where the situation is improving a lot right now. So, seeing that, I think I am looking for hope again.]

Q. Expressions like 'solution' and 'permission'? What feeling did you want to convey?

[RM: BTS is also a team that lives in the present, that is, the present. BTS is a team that has grown by focusing on what we have, the emotions we are feeling, and things like that. ' It all had to be something we had to feel right now. We don't need permission to dance like I Got the Madison or we don't need permission to dance, and in the end, I think all these lyrics came out of a struggle or struggle to live in the present.

In fact, sympathy and comfort can be flat words in some ways. In a little way, it is very prevalent, and I sympathize with it, and it comforts me. So, however, the best sympathy or consolation we could have was the result of making music, singing music, and dancing because we are singers, in the end, trying to give the best and coolest comfort as much as we can. I think it was a song like 'Permission to Dance' or 'Dynamite'.]

Q. What is the meaning of the picture of 'Jimin's Big Day'?

[Jimin: It was a grateful situation, and I didn’t realize it even more, but I thought a lot that they give you a lot of unpaid support and love.We don't know how happy a person is, so I think we got a lot of thoughts about wanting to be happy.]

Q. How did you accept the presidential special envoy?

[RM: Actually, if you think about BTS like this since they were trainees, we are also millennials. From 1992 to 1997. So, in a way, I would dare to say that millennials grew up together with the younger generation of today. In the process, as I said before, we wanted to continue expressing the emotions we felt now. I think that we have directly or indirectly witnessed and experienced something like a global or very large economic crisis or the impact that something social has on us, both directly and indirectly after meeting our parents and going through various things like that.

So, in fact, when there is a crisis like this in 2021, we are very weak, but if there is something we can do and have the power, whether we are a cultural envoy or the UN General Assembly, we can participate in such a thing, and the young people who have grown up with us now The future generations of the world, let's do what we can do for our country, and I came to this with a very heavy heart and with a happy heart. After leaving the country, we will do our best and come back with a sense of mission that we can do.]

Q. Great record… No pressure?

[Jimin: More than anything else, we just have to do what we have to do. Rather than thinking like this, I just don’t know how and how to repay the fans. I think it's a bit difficult at times. Because in fact, we exist because of the fans, that is, the audience, but in fact, we are in a situation where we are not able to satisfy any of that, and even so, it seems that we are not able to express our gratitude sufficiently, so I think that is the heaviest. This seems to be lifting.]

Q. What is the dream you want to achieve as an individual Jeon Jeong-guk?

[Jungkook: I am a person with so many things I want to do, but what I am doing right now is so good that I don’t think I have any personal goals or dreams as a singer right now other than that. I'm so happy and good right now, I'm thinking of meeting ARMY's fans soon, I want to hold a concert soon, and I think it's all a dream now.]

Q. English song trilogy... What's the next song?

[Jungkook: The reason we released sound sources and albums up to this point was that there were thoughts, emotional states, or flows about us at that time, so it was just because all those songs were born in line with that generation. As we have done so far, we think about what we can talk about then, what we should talk about now, and as we talk about these things, I think about whether some good or wonderful songs will be created naturally. (Can you give me a hint whether the next song will be in English or Korean?) There is nothing set about it either. I don't know.]
