China News Service, Lhasa, July 25th, title: "Plateau Hulk" operation full moon: "black technology" eliminates "high anti" and refined maintenance to make trains more "smart"

  China News Agency reporter Liu Shuangshuang

  On July 25, the “Fuxing” dual-source power centralized EMU (hereinafter referred to as the “Fuxing EMU”) running on the Lalin Railway on the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau was safely operated "full moon", with an operating mileage of nearly 90,000 kilometers.

  For the first time, the Fuxing EMU, known as the "Plateau Hulk," challenges the "roof of the world" with high altitude and complicated climatic conditions. Will there be a "high reaction"?

  With these questions, a reporter from China News Service on the 24th followed the technical staff of CRRC Zhuzhou Electric Locomotive Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as CRRC Zhuji), who was responsible for the production and development of the electric locomotive of the train, to "add rides".

  At about 12:10, the D8982 Fuxing train slowly departed from Linzhi Station.

The train traverses the mountains and rivers smoothly.

Although the reporter has been to Tibet for the first time, he did not feel uncomfortable in the car. The beautiful scenery of Nyingchi in the "snowy south of the Yangtze River" outside the car window is dizzying.

  As the first electrified railway in Tibet, the Lalin Railway is 435.48 kilometers in length. It is located in the southeastern Tibet valley between the Gangdise Mountains and the Himalayas on the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau. About 90% of the lines are above 3000 meters above sea level. It crosses the Yarlung Zangbo River 16 times, which is relatively high. The difference is about 2500 meters, and the bridge to tunnel ratio is as high as 75%.

  In such a complex plateau environment, how can the "Plateau Hulk" avoid "high opposition"?

Peng Xinping, a technical expert from CRRC Zhuzhou Machinery Co., Ltd., told reporters that this is due to a series of "black technologies" that come with the train:

  In order to adapt to the environment of low air pressure and thunderstorms, the train's whole body lightning protection equipment is equivalent to putting on a "golden bell";

  The anti-ultraviolet and anti-aging properties of exterior paint and rubber parts have been improved. The window glass can block 99% of the ultraviolet rays in the surrounding environment, which is equivalent to wearing "sun protection clothing";

  The key systems of the EMUs are equipped with cold-proof and intelligent insulation systems, so that the train can be put into use immediately even in low-temperature environments, which is equivalent to wearing "cold-proof clothing";

  The pressure wave protection device makes the indoor air pressure stable when the EMU enters and exits the tunnel, and the drivers and passengers have no discomfort such as tinnitus, which is equivalent to putting on an "airtight coat."

  The reason why reporters who entered Tibet for the first time did not have a high reaction is because the train uses a combination of diffusion and distributed oxygen supply.

  Bai Ma Zhandui, a staff member of the Nyingchi Post Office who took the plateau train to Lhasa for the first time, was not aware of these invisible "black technologies."

In his opinion, fast and comfortable trains are more convenient, comfortable, and safer than cars, and it also puts Linzhi's development into the fast lane.

His 65-year-old mother goes to Lhasa to see a doctor once a year, and will choose to travel by train in the future.

  At about 15:51, the D8982 Fuxing train arrived at Lhasa Station.

The Gaoyuan Fuxing EMU, which adopts the world's first plateau "internal combustion + electric" dual-power traction mode, quickly completes the traction power switch here and continues to Shigatse.

  The Lhasa Maintenance Base, which is less than 2 kilometers away from Lhasa Station, has a special "Dual-source EMU Maintenance Depot".

Sun Jianshe, manager of the EMU service department of CRRC's customer service center, told reporters that the "Plateau Hulk" is stored at approximately 10 pm every day, and then a series of strict and detailed "physical examinations" must be completed to ensure that the train is "healthy the next day." "Out of the library.

  At 10 o'clock that night, after the 33-year-old head of the Lhasa after-sales service station of CRRC Zhuji Lalin Railway, Yi Min, received the information that the Fuxing train from the dispatch center was about to enter the warehouse, he began a six-hour busy schedule: Relevant units carry out overhaul and maintenance to ensure that all faults and abnormalities do not stay overnight.

  During the interview, the reporter learned that the "Plateau Hulk" had also experienced symptoms of "high reaction" within one month of opening.

  During operation, the air-conditioning ambient temperature monitoring system in the train driver's cab gave multiple alarms.

The technicians discovered that the Sangzhuling Tunnel on the Lalin Railway is a rare high rock temperature tunnel in the history of Chinese railway construction. The rock temperature can reach up to 90°C, and the maximum ambient temperature in the tunnel can reach 56°C.

  Sun Jianshe told reporters that this is a problem that the Plateau Fuxing has never encountered.

The technicians immediately optimized the protection logic of the air conditioner.

  CRRC ZMC technicians discovered in actual operation that the forced closing time of the fresh air valve in some sections of the road is too long, which may easily cause discomfort to the drivers and passengers.

For this reason, they further optimized the control logic of the fresh air valve to make the valve switch more "smart" and humane.

  In January, the Fuxing ship became more and more adaptable to the plateau.

Sun Jianshe told reporters that next, their more important work is to strengthen the training of local personnel, export management processes and technologies, and make the Gaoyuan Fuxing become a new benchmark for China's railways.
