The boy was pulled out of the sea and taken to the hospital, but was confirmed dead approximately two and a half hours later.
According to the police, the person who died was Taketaka Nogami (5), a nursery school child living in Yonago City, who visited the beach with his father and brother from around 10 am on the 24th.
The boy was found on the sandy beach side of a wave-dissipating block that surrounds the beach about 15 meters from the beach, and the waves were calm.
