Comedian Jean-Yves Lafesse died Thursday in Vannes at the age of 64, his family announced on Friday. Born in Pontivy in 1957, this precursor of hidden camera gags and telephone hoaxes suffered from Charcot's disease, diagnosed a year ago. "His condition had suddenly deteriorated in the last 24 hours," said a relative of the comedian.

Lafesse, questioned by Philippe Vandel, had also defended his corporation, assuring "that we will never pump", in reaction to accusations of plagiarism against certain French comedians.

He who wrote a lot with his brothers and particularly used the art of improvisation, considered that "it is infeasible, infernal and condemnable".
