Moderna enters the dance.

The European Medicines Agency (EMA) on Friday approved the administration to 12-17 year olds of the vaccine from the American biotechnology company.

Until now, only the Pfizer vaccine has been approved for adolescents in the European Union.

At the beginning of June, Moderna had submitted an application for marketing authorization in the Union and in Canada for its vaccine against Covid-19.

The group claimed at the end of May that its remedy was "highly effective" in adolescents aged 12 to 17, according to the results of clinical trials on more than 3,700 participants aged 12 to 17 in the United States.
