At 11 o'clock on July 22, due to the continuous heavy rainfall, part of the cofferdam of the Hutoushan landfill in Yanshi District, Luoyang City, Henan Province collapsed, and the garbage seriously polluted the environment. After receiving requests from the people for help, the Yujin firefighters joined hands for disposal.
In order to help the people resume their normal production and life, the Yanshi Brigade of the Luoyang Fire Rescue Detachment set up a temporary duty station to accept the people's help.
After arriving at the Hutoushan Landfill, a cofferdam with a width of more than 20 meters collapsed due to the flooding of a landfill of more than 1,200 square meters. Domestic garbage and other debris overflowed from the landfill.
To this end, the Henan firefighters and the Shanxi firefighters who came to Henan for reinforcements, after more than 10 hours of hard work, used sandbags to seal the gaps in the layers, re-filled the garbage, and used disinfection drugs for the personnel’s clothing, equipment, and operations. The site was thoroughly disinfected and disinfected after the flood to ensure the health and safety of the people.
