Recently, the vascular surgery team of the Southwest Hospital of the Army Military Medical University successfully performed intracavitary interventional surgery on a 25-year-old young soldier, removing a 1.5 cm inferior vena cava filter remaining in the body with residual metal.

In order to remove the residual filter for the soldier, the team discussed the case repeatedly and invited Professor Zhang Xiquan, a well-known filter management expert across the country, to come to the hospital for guidance.

Finally, after more than 3 hours of surgery, the occluded inferior vena cava and left iliac vein were successfully opened, and the residual filter was completely removed.

Currently, the patient is recovering well and has been discharged from hospital.
