Witnessing the Floods|The person in charge of the Blue Sky Rescue Team of Xihua County, Zhoukou: Moved the villagers to nearby schools overnight

China-Singapore Jingwei Client, July 22 (Zhao Jiaran) Jin Junya, 40, is a logistics manager of Xihua County No. 1 Senior High School and the head of the Blue Sky Rescue Team of Xihua County.

Starting in the early morning of July 19, he devoted himself to volunteer rescue work, and now he only sleeps about 4 hours a day on average.

The following is a collation of his narrative:

As the rain became more serious and the river pressure increased, some sections of the river in Fugou County in the upper reaches of Xihua County became alarmed, and the shops on the first floor of Xihua County have been notified to close.

In order to prevent casualties, we received a message in the early morning of the 20th to transfer all the residents of Tiankou Township, Xihua County, and place them in nearby schools.

Volunteers of the rescue team are arranging for the transfer of the interviewees

The common people first gathered at the township government, and then took a unified bus to the resettlement site.

The transfer was safe and orderly and proceeded smoothly.

The school has a canteen, and there are people who make big pots of rice, stews, etc., plus materials donated by caring people and companies, such as beef, bread, drinking water, etc., everyone has ample food supply.

In addition, there are many college students participating in volunteer activities to comfort the people affected by psychological counseling, such as chatting with them about family affairs, and providing special care for the elderly, pregnant women, and residents with poor health.

The rain stopped temporarily in the early morning of the 22nd. During the day, the water flow pressure in the upper reaches had slowed down, but the water level began to rise again in the afternoon.

In order to do a good job in prevention, in the afternoon we came to Dugang to reinforce the river to prepare for the next wave of flood peaks.

At present, the upstream pressure is still very high.

Although the previous small flood peak has passed, it is expected that a large flood peak will usher at around 5 o'clock on the 23rd, which will cause a lot of water flow.

At the same time, the common people are still being placed in schools, and they will be able to return home with peace of mind when the flood is over and the danger is over.

Now I am on standby in the gym. I and other volunteers are on duty 24 hours a day. Yesterday I only slept for 3 hours.
