Surveillance camera in the Indian city of Mumbai showed defining moments in the life of an elderly man after he got stuck under a train while trying to cross the tracks.

The Indian Railways revealed the details of the accident, explaining that Harry Shankar, 70, tried to cross the railway as the train departed from Kalyan station in Mumbai, and while crossing the tracks, he fell and got stuck under the train, before being noticed by a number of train workers who shouted quickly to stop the train.

The train driver intervened in a quick way to stop the emergency brake immediately, and pulled the elderly man alive, while the authority warned against crossing the railways, and confirmed that this could be fatal.

The Indian Railways announced a reward of 2,000 rupees to the train workers for their timely intervention to save the life of the elderly man.
