Prior to the four consecutive holidays starting on the 22nd, Okinawa Prefecture decided to close the prefectural facilities that had just reopened last week in principle due to the rapid re-expansion of the infection.

The popular tourist spot "Okinawa Churaumi Aquarium" will also be closed.

When the period of emergency declaration was re-extended on the 8th of this month, Okinawa Prefecture resumed the operation of prefectural facilities that were closed in principle, subject to admission restrictions, etc., and also the "Okinawa Churaumi Aquarium" in Motobu Town. Business resumed on the 12th of this month.

However, in response to the rapid spread of the new coronavirus infection again, Okinawa Prefecture held a countermeasures headquarters meeting on the afternoon of the 21st and decided to close the prefectural facilities until the end of this month in principle. ..

Before the four consecutive holidays starting on the 22nd, it is necessary to strengthen measures to prevent infection.

As a result, the popular tourist spots "Okinawa Churaumi Aquarium", the toll area of Shurijo Castle Park, and the prefectural museums and art galleries will be closed from the 22nd.

The Okinawa Prefectural Library will be closed from the 24th of this month.

From next month onward, it will be decided whether or not to open the museum based on the infection situation.

We are requesting similar measures for facilities in municipalities in the prefecture.

In addition to the conventional PCR tests, antigen tests will also be started at Naha Airport from the 22nd, revealing a policy to strengthen border measures.

Governor Tamaki "A sudden rebound is seen"

Governor Tamaki, who held a press conference after the Okinawa Prefectural Countermeasures Headquarters meeting, said, "We must absolutely avoid a rapid spread of infection in a situation where the effects of the fourth wave have not yet escaped, but there is a sudden rebound. After showing a strong sense of crisis, he called for the period from the 22nd to the end of this month as the "concentrated behavior suppression period" to remind him to go out unnecessarily and refrain from visiting Okinawa.

In addition, Governor Tamaki did not respond to requests such as closure due to the state of emergency, and of the 134 restaurants that issued orders, 29 restaurants that were confirmed not to comply with the orders multiple times were 300,000 on the 21st. He revealed that he had asked the court to impose a fine of less than yen.

As the period of the state of emergency is getting longer, the prefecture wants to eliminate the unfairness of the stores that are responding to the request and enhance the effect of the declaration.
