[Explanation] Kunming, Yunnan Province, launched the new crown vaccination work for minors aged 12 to 17 at the end of July and early August.

Among them, Wuhua District has set up three temporary vaccination sites to provide COVID-19 vaccination for all kinds of regular high schools, high school vocational colleges, and secondary vocational institutions in the appropriate age groups.

On July 21, the reporter came to the temporary vaccination site of Kunming No. 8 Middle School to learn about the situation of minors vaccinated against the new crown.

Our Wuhua District has put out the best medical security team and the best vaccination team to carry out the new crown vaccination work for minors.

There are three centralized vaccination sites, namely Kun No. 8 Middle School, City Gymnasium and Kun No. 14 Middle School.

  [Concurrent] The first dose of vaccination has been completed for students and parents

  Just come to the gate from the morning. First, parents and students come in line (by scanning) the health code, and then line up. With the help of volunteers, they line up for vaccination together. I think the whole procedure is quite standard and orderly.

  [Explanation] The new crown vaccination work for minors requires both minors and their parents to make double notifications, double signatures, and double presence.

Each vaccination site is equipped with first-aid medical personnel from medical institutions of Grade A or above to ensure the safety of vaccination throughout the process.

  [Explanation] For minors aged 15-17, minors outside school and other suitable groups who return to Kunming during summer vacation, Wuhua District has opened the First and Second Affiliated Hospitals of Kun Medical, the Affiliated Hospital of Yunnan University, and Kunming Maternal and Child Health Hospital Special vaccination channels for minors.

  [Explanation] As of July 21, Wuhua District has completed more than 8,000 doses of new crown vaccination for minors between 15 and 17 years old.

At the same time, the district plans to complete the first dose of vaccination for people aged 15 to 17 years old before July 25. After expert assessment, the first dose of vaccination for people aged 12 to 14 years old will be launched on August 1.
