An Indonesian disguises himself as his wife and faces imprisonment. What is the reason?

An Indonesian man faces a possible prison sentence after he disguises himself as his wife in the hope of boarding a plane on a domestic flight.

CNN reported that the man, referred to as "DW," boarded a low-cost Citilink airliner on a domestic flight between Jakarta and the northeastern city of Ternate.

The man was wearing a niqab that covered his face impersonating his wife, and it turned out that his intention behind that travel was despite it was confirmed that he was infected with the Corona virus, while travel rules prevent “Covid 19” patients from boarding planes.

The man wanted to take advantage of his wife's negative test results, so he took her identity and clothes, trying to travel disguised as her.

Indeed, the man managed to achieve partial success, as he passed through the security services at the airport, and no one suspected him, and boarded the plane that flew him.

But the trick was not complete, as one of the flight attendants on the plane saw him entering the bathroom, to come out shortly after wearing men's clothes and he hid the veil aside.

And the flight attendant informed the airport authorities in Ternate, who detained the passenger as soon as he got off the plane, where he was subjected to a corona examination, which had a positive result.

Later, the fake traveler was placed in home quarantine.

According to "Sky News Arabia", the Indonesian police said that they will start the legal prosecution of the man as soon as the isolation period ends, and his sentence may be imprisonment.

Corona virus cases are increasing very quickly across Indonesia, especially with the presence of the highly contagious "delta" mutant.

In light of the slow pace of vaccination, which did not exceed 6 percent of the population, the authorities tightened their procedures and penalties.

And airlines such as "CityLink" decided to reduce their flights significantly during the Eid al-Adha holiday.
