Nagasaki Prefecture and others have announced that a total of nine people in the prefecture have been newly confirmed to be infected with the new coronavirus.
Infection was confirmed in
▽ Nagasaki City in 4 people,
▽ Ojika Town in 3 people,
▽ Sasebo City in 1 person, and
▽ Omura City in 1 person.
A total of 3291 people have been confirmed to be infected in Nagasaki Prefecture, excluding the crew of the cruise ship moored at Nagasaki Port.
It was also found that two of the infected people confirmed so far in Nagasaki Prefecture were suspected of being infected with the Delta strain of the mutant virus confirmed in India.
This is the first time that a suspected infection of this mutant strain has been confirmed in the prefecture.
