This year's No. 7 typhoon "Chapaka" strengthened near the coast on the evening of the 19th, and its center was located on the offshore water about 90 kilometers southeast of Yangjiang City, Guangdong Province at 7 o'clock on the 20th.
It is expected that "Chapaca" will land on the coast from Taishan to Dianbai in Guangdong from the afternoon to the evening of the 20th.
The latest wave conditions show that a 5.1-meter wave has been set off in the affected sea area.
In response, the National Ocean Forecasting Station upgraded the wave warning to orange in accordance with the "Marine Disaster Emergency Plan".
The National Ocean Forecast Station predicts that from noon on the 20th to noon on the 21st, huge waves of 5 to 7 meters will appear in the northwestern part of the South China Sea, and large waves of 3 to 5 meters will appear in the coastal waters of western Guangdong.

It is expected that from the 20th to 21st, there will be 30 cm to 70 cm of storm surges along the coast of Zhuhai, Jiangmen, and Maoming City in Guangdong, and 70 cm to 150 cm along the coast of Yangjiang City. This year’s No. 6 typhoon "Fireworks" (strong tropical storm level), its center is located on the northwest Pacific Ocean about 920 kilometers east of Yilan County, Taiwan Province, China at 5 o'clock on the 20th. It is expected that the "Fireworks" will be on the night of the 21st. It moved into the East China Sea in the early morning of the 22nd, and then gradually approached the coast of Zhejiang and Fujian.
Affected by the typhoon "fireworks", it is expected that from early morning to noon on July 21, huge waves of 5 meters to 7 meters will appear in the southeast of the East China Sea, and 3 meters to 4 meters will appear in the southwest of the East China Sea and east of Taiwan. In the coastal area of Zhejiang and northern Fujian, medium to large waves of 1.5 to 2.5 meters will appear in the coastal waters of northern Zhejiang and Fujian. The wave warning level in the coastal waters is blue.
