At 10:00 on July 20, the Central Meteorological Observatory issued an orange warning for typhoon.

Typhoon No. 7 "Chapaka" is expected to make landfall along the coast from Taishan to Dianbai in Guangdong from the afternoon to the evening of the 20th. The intensity of the landfall will be at the level of a severe tropical storm or typhoon.

"Chapaca" may become the first typhoon to land in China this year. According to Gao Shuanzhu, chief forecaster of the Central Meteorological Observatory, the scale of "Chapaca" is small in diameter, and its impact will not be too large. It is mainly concentrated in the coastal areas of western Guangdong. May not go deep inland.

Gao Shuanzhu said that as Typhoon No. 6 "Fireworks" is approaching China's Zhejiang and Fujian provinces, the movement speed of "Chapaka" has slowed down due to the effect of the double typhoon.
