For three evenings in mid-August, Way out west takes place in mini format at Villa Belparc in Slottsskogen in Gothenburg.
With a symbolic festival bracelet on their arm, festival participants can watch gigs with one artist with support per night: Amason and Esther, Sarah Klang and Klara Keller, Deportees and Grant.
In May, festival organizer Luger announced that Way out west would be canceled for the second year in a row due to the pandemic, and postponed until 2022. At the same time, it was hinted that something could still happen in Slottsskogen during the set dates.
The new initiative goes by the name Way out weekend and takes place August 12-14, the same date that Way out west was planned for.
