Romain Gavras' next film will be broadcast exclusively on Netflix.
The French director has indeed signed with the streaming platform for his third opus, after
Our Day Will Come
in 2010 and
Le Monde est à Toi
in 2018. We still don't know much about this feature film, and in particular its title, but what we do know is that its shooting should start this week in France, according to Deadline.
Romain Gavras will collaborate on the screenplay with his colleague from Kourtrajmé Lady Ly (director of
Les Misérables
) as well as with Elias Belkeddar (
My Days of Glory
).
Eclectic
Also known for his music videos and commercials, Romain Gavras has worked with Avbec MIA, Kanye West and Jay-Z (for the video for
No Church in the Wild
), as well as Jamie XX and Mark Ronson.
In the cast of this new film, we should find in particular Dali Benssalah, Anthony Bajon, Alexis Manenti (winner of a César for Best Male Hope for his role in
Les Misérables
) and Ouassini Embarek.
No release date has yet been announced.
