An Italian province is preparing to pay thousands of dollars to those who want to live in it

The Italian region of Calabria launched a plan aimed at increasing the number of residents of some of its towns where the population is dwindling, through an attractive financial plan.

The plan of the region was to give those wishing to move to live in it an amount of 33,000 dollars, by sending them to villages with a population of less than two thousand people.

The number of these villages reaches more than 7, allowing the person to choose between them, but there are some conditions, which are that the person wishing to move to live in a small business, buy an existing company or open his own company, will not allow people over the age of forty to move in addition to the person's willingness to move. To live within 90 days of his application being approved.

It's called "Active Residence Income" and aims to increase Calabria's appeal for "working the south", the name southern Italy gives to teleworking, said Gianpetro Coppola, mayor of Altomonte, who contributed to the project.

This project, which has been allocated more than $850,000, will be launched in the coming weeks and applications will be received online, according to the American newspaper, "The New York Post".
