Dubai Islamic supports Al Faraj Fund with 5 million dirhams

The Faraj Fund, in cooperation with Dubai Islamic Bank, launched the (Farajat) initiative to support its initiatives in providing a helping hand and assistance to insolvent inmates in penal and correctional institutions to release them and alleviate the suffering of their families.

Dubai Islamic Bank provided 5 million dirhams in financial support to the Faraj Fund from zakat money, and 37 insolvent convicts in financial cases who were released before Eid Al-Adha benefit from it, within the framework of the social responsibility of the private sector in cooperation with the “Fund” to enhance social solidarity, which contributes To provide a decent life for the guests and their families.

Khalil Daoud Badran, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Al-Faraj Fund, stressed the importance of the partnership between the Fund and Dubai Islamic Bank, which is one of the largest supporters of charitable programs and humanitarian initiatives implemented by the Fund.


He explained that the fund works under the supervision of the Ministry of Community Development, which supports all social and humanitarian initiatives, all of which are aimed at social solidarity and strengthening partnership with various government institutions and departments to achieve the goals and directions of the state in attention to human rights and other social standards and in support of the family entity and maintenance of its cohesion as the basic nucleus to society.
