A short animation film jointly produced by a Japanese animation studio and the IOC = International Olympic Committee has been completed and will be released on July 23.

This animation was co-produced by Studio Ponoc and the IOC and is an eight-minute short film titled "Tomorrow's Leaves."

The director was Yoshiyuki Momose, who has been the main creator of Isao Takahata's works such as "Grave of the Firefly".

The work is conceived based on the spirit of the Olympics, and is set in a fictitious island, where five children from different places and cultures struggle to solve the crisis that occurs on that island. For the children inside, there are no lines, but music, sound effects, and hand-drawn animations created in it.

Director Momose said, "I made it so that I could encourage children in the future. It's a work that I discover every time I see it, so I think it will be more enjoyable if you see it many times." I was talking.

"Tomorrow's Leaves" will be released for free at movie theaters in Koto-ku, Tokyo from July 23rd to 29th, and will also be released on the official website of the work.
