The General Secretariat of the Hamdan Bin Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum International Photography Award has announced the winners of the "Instagram" competition for the month of June 2021, whose theme was "Your Pet". The competition witnessed an Indonesian duo that confirmed the creative ability of the continuous presence in the lists of winners, through photographers "Hendra Permana" and "Misal". The Turkish lens was also able to shine with a duo, through the photographer "Fikret Dilek Aoyar" and the photographer "Nazim Titik", and the list of winners also included the photographer "Kishur Daz" from India. The five winners will receive the award's appreciation medal, and their photos and names will be published on the award's official account on Instagram, HIPAae, and the June competition saw the use of the hashtag #HIPAContest_YourPet.

For his part, the Secretary-General of the award, Ali Khalifa bin Thalith, said, “The skilled lens has an amazing ability to capture feelings and the depth of interdependence, if the owner chooses the appropriate timing and circumstance. Beautiful spontaneous attitudes and reactions.” He added, "The creative photographer is the one who is able to capture the beauty of this relationship, and highlight the value of most societies' association with these gentle creatures." Indian photographer Kishore Daz said of his winning photo, taken in January 2016, in Shimoga district in the Indian state of Karnataka, “I was taking a distant scene when I suddenly noticed that this little elephant was playing with one of the caretakers of the elephant camp near me. .I wanted to capture this perfect and emotional moment, and winning a prestigious global competition like HEPA is so precious, appreciation has given me the fuel and support to continue fearlessly on my chosen path. I was working as a manager in a prestigious IT company in Bangalore, but I resigned from my job in February 2020, to pursue my passion for travel and photography, and to gain unlimited knowledge and skill in the photographic industry.” Turkish photographer Fikret Dilek Oyar said of her winning photo, which she took in Kayseri, Turkey, in June 2018. “When I saw a little girl petting a calf, I really wanted to capture the moment, because the connection between them was magically wonderful, just like the light from a window.This is my third win in the Hamdan Bin Mohammed International Photography Award competitions, and I am happy that I am one of the most successful Turkish photographers in HEPA. This is very important to me, because the first success may be served by luck, but successive success comes only with hard work and continuous development. As a photographer, I aspire to tell people’s stories in a distinctive way, and make my photos eloquent messages about various social issues.”
