Hong Kong's new crown vaccine first shot coverage rate breaks 40%, over 2.73 million people have completed the first shot

  The Director of the Civil Service Bureau of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Government, Nie Dequan, said on the 15th that the first dose of the new crown vaccine in Hong Kong has broken the 40% mark, and a total of more than 2.73 million people have completed the first dose; more than 4.6 million doses of the new crown vaccine have been vaccinated in Hong Kong.

  Nie Dequan pointed out that the public hope to "clear the customs" as soon as possible, but a basic condition for "customs clearance" is that the society must establish adequate protective barriers.

He called on members of the community to continue their efforts to break through the number of vaccinations and reach 70% of the vaccination rate as soon as possible.

  The Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Government announced on the evening that a total of 63,200 people were vaccinated on the 15th, of which about 32,700 received the first shot and 30,500 received the second shot.

A total of more than 2,731,400 people in Hong Kong have received the first injection, and more than 1.907 million people have received the second injection.
