Pilot sues Delta for $1 billion over CrowLife
A pilot of the American airline "Delta Airlines" sued the company for a claim of one billion dollars, alleging that the company stole a special application that he developed to exchange text messages between cabin crews, and which the company used to develop its own application.
And "Bloomberg" news agency indicated that pilot Craig Alexander filed a lawsuit against "Delta Airlines" in Georgia State Court for theft of trade secrets.
Alexander said he spent $100,000 of his own money to develop the Crow Life app, which he provided to the airline as a way to solve a communications problem with cabin crew following a disruption.
Delta refused to use Alexander's app and then developed and used a similar app.
Alexander's attorney, Kenan Nix, said the company "stole the app like a thief of the night" and deceived its loyal employee.
He added that Alexander is a veteran pilot and has been with the airline for 11 years.
"While we take the allegations in Alexander's complaint seriously, they do not represent an accurate or fair description of Delta's development of its own platform for communication between its crews," Delta spokesman Morgan Durant said in a statement.
