The American TV channel Lifetime has published a trailer for a new feature film dedicated to the history of the British royal family, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle.

The video was posted on the official channel of the broadcaster on YouTube.

It is already known that the tape will tell about the reasons why the Duke and Duchess of Sussex at the beginning of 2020 decided to stop acting as "senior" members of the royal family, to abandon the corresponding privileges and titles of Their Highnesses.

The main themes of the film largely echo the interview that Meghan Markle and Prince Harry gave to Oprah Winfrey in March 2021 (the film will also include a scene of their conversation).

For example, filmmakers intend to describe in detail what emotions Meghan Markle experienced while in isolation.

Also, the film will talk about the fact that the royal family allegedly did not use their resources to protect Prince Harry and his wife from press attacks.

In the trailer, the prince fears a repetition of the tragedy that claimed the life of his mother, Princess Diana.

The new film will be the third part of the franchise, which also includes the films "Harry and Meghan: A Royal Love Story" and "Harry and Meghan: The Royal Family" (Harry & Meghan: Becoming Royal). Previous films were released in 2018 and 2019, respectively. The entire trilogy was directed by Bangladeshi-born director Menhai Hada (who also contributed to the series The Flash and Batwoman). Michelle Weiss and Merideth Finn returned to executive production, Scarlet Lacey wrote the script, as for the two previous projects (she worked on the first film with Terrence Coley).

The cast has partially changed in comparison with previous films.

Meghan Markle this time will play Sidney Morton, and her wife - Jordan Dean.

In Harry and Meghan: A Royal Love Story, the couple was played by Paris Fitz-Henley and Murray Fraser, and in the sequel, these roles were played by Tiffany Smith and Charlie Field.

Jordan Whalen returns to the image of Prince William.

He was already working on this role in the second film, where he succeeded Burgess Abernathy.

Steve Coulter, who plays Prince Charles, starred in the first part of the trilogy, but then the role was given to Charles Shaughnessy.

All three films feature Laura Mitchell (Kate Middleton), Maggie Sullivan (Queen Elizabeth II), Deborah Ramsay (Camilla Parker Bowles) and Bonnie Soper (Diana Spencer).

According to the footage from the teaser, previously posted on Instagram, the media suggests that the filmmakers will recreate Diana Spencer's performance in December 1993.

Then she announced her intention to lead a less public life and concentrate on charity work, keeping personal affairs secret.

The life of the royal family is often a source of inspiration for filmmakers.

Many projects are dedicated to Princess Diana.

In January 2021, the filming of the film "Spencer" directed by Pablo Larrain ("Jackie") began.

Princess Diana is played by Kristen Stewart, best known for her leading role in the popular Twilight franchise.

The film will be dedicated to the episode in the early 1990s, when the princess decided to break off relations with Prince Charles.

The premiere of the tape will take place within the framework of the Venice Film Festival.

According to Variety, she will be included in the competition program of the show.

Previously, the biography of Diana Spencer formed the basis for the paintings "Charles and Diana: Short and Unhappy", "Royal Romance of Prince Charles and Diana", "Diana: A Love Story", "Diana - Queen of Hearts", as well as "Diana: Her True Story" based on the book by Andrew Morton and others.

Episodes from the lives of other representatives of the House of Windsor are dedicated to such films as "The Queen" with Helen Mirren and "The King's Speech!"

with Colin Firth.

Recently, the TV series about the reign of Elizabeth II "Crown", which has been released on Netflix since 2016, has attracted special media attention.

In November 2020, British Culture Minister Oliver Dowden demanded that viewers be warned before each episode that there is fiction in the series.

The fourth season of the tape, which ended shortly before, contained historical inaccuracies.

Most of the questions from the audience were caused by the reflection of Prince Charles's relationship with Princess Diana and with Camilla Parker-Bowles.

The image of Margaret Thatcher was also controversial.

The idea of adding a disclaimer was supported, in particular, by Diana's brother Spencer Charles, as well as actress Helena Bonham Carter, who played the role of Princess Margaret in The Crown.

However, Netflix management refused to grant their request.
