The government has now presented the details of the long-awaited event support to organizers whose events have been canceled or restricted due to corona restrictions.
On August 10, it is free for organizers of events planned during the period June-December 2021 but which can not be implemented or must be significantly limited to apply for financial support for the expenses and the lost revenue.
To be able to take part in the support, the event must be aimed at at least 250 participants.
The support covers a maximum of 70 percent of the costs for the planned event and the total support amounts to a maximum of SEK 17.5 million.
It is the Swedish Tax Agency that will make decisions on regulations regarding the practical handling of the support.
The event support is introduced mainly for organizers to dare to plan for events despite the situation being uncertain due to the pandemic.
The support covers a total of SEK 3 billion.
