"Incredible doctor"

The police began last May to take an interest in a Snapchat account that offered for sale certificates of vaccination against Covid-19. His name: "Incredible doctor". As on Amazon, customers left comments to praise the quality of the product delivered. The man behind this account was responsible for taking orders and delivering certificates to his clients, anywhere in the Paris region. It also offers false documents, such as PCR tests (positive or negative), but also false diplomas or counterfeit money.

The vaccination certifications were very true.

All came from the vaccination centers attached to the Hospices Civils de Lyon.

The police discovered that the man obtained them thanks to the complicity of a woman working in a vaccination center.

Every day, she reserved about ten vaccination slots for herself, entered the names of the clients of “Incredible Doctor”, and then sent him the real certificates with the QR codes.

At least 400 certificates issued

On July 12 and July 13, the police took action and arrested six people, including two clients.

Among them, an administrative officer, a commercial executive, students, unemployed people.

According to our information, at least 400 people have bought and used this document.

But investigators are convinced that there are three times more.

"We must see the consequences that this could have for fragile people who frequent them thinking that they are truly vaccinated," blows a police source.

A judicial investigation was opened by the cybercrime section of the Paris prosecutor's office.
