.

According to a study conducted by the specialist company App Annie, French people with an Android device would spend an average of 3:30 on their mobile phone.

This average time is that analyzed for the second quarter of 2021. It is thus "at the same level or slightly lower" compared to that of the second quarter of 2020 and still much higher than that of 2019. The trends induced by the confinement would continue therefore to maintain itself while many public places have reopened.

Our latest blog shows that consumers across eight regional markets now spend more than four hours a day using apps.

A 45% increase in Russia

With 3h30, however, France is not the country where the inhabitants spend the most time on their phones. The first place in this ranking is occupied by Brazil, with 5.4 hours. They are followed by the Indonesians with 5.3 hours and finally by the Indians with 4.9 hours. The highest growth between 2019 and 2021 was measured in Russia, with an increase of 45%.

Regarding the most popular applications over the last twelve months in France, the first place is occupied by Tousanticovid.

In second position, we find the Shein fashion application, followed by PassCulture.

Vite Ma Dose, the application that centralizes appointment scheduling for the vaccine, comes in fourth place among the most downloaded apps.

Note that in Germany and the United Kingdom, the two most popular applications also concern the Covid: respectively CovPass and NHS App.
