China News Service, Chengdu, July 15 (Reporter Liu Zhongjun) The Sichuan Earthquake Administration revealed on the 15th that the 4.8 magnitude earthquake that occurred in Wenchuan in the province is located in the southern part of the Wenchuan aftershock area, which is an ups and down activity in the Wenchuan aftershock area.
According to the China Seismological Network, at 23:36 on the 14th, a magnitude 4.8 earthquake occurred in Wenchuan County (30.97 degrees north latitude, 103.37 degrees east longitude) in Aba Prefecture, Sichuan, with a focal depth of 15 kilometers.
The epicenter of the earthquake was 26 kilometers away from Dujiangyan City, 48 kilometers away from Chongzhou City, and 76 kilometers away from Chengdu City.
Within 20 kilometers of the epicenter are Sanjiang Town, Xuankou Town, Gengda Town, Yingxiu Town and Wolong Town.
Since 1970, 120 earthquakes of magnitude 4.0 and above have occurred within 50 kilometers of the epicenter of the magnitude 4.8 earthquake (including Wenchuan aftershocks).
Among them, there were 100 earthquakes of magnitude 4.0-4.9, 15 earthquakes of magnitude 5.0-5.9, 4 earthquakes of magnitude 6.0-6.9, and 1 earthquake of magnitude 8.0.
Among these earthquakes, the most recent earthquake was the magnitude 4.0 earthquake in Wenchuan County, Aba Prefecture on February 26, 2017, and the magnitude 8.0 earthquake in Wenchuan County, Sichuan Province, on May 12, 2008, was the largest and the closest in space.

After the earthquake, the China Earthquake Early Warning Network produced earthquake early warning information 5 seconds after the earthquake, and Chengdu City received the early warning information 19 seconds before the earthquake wave arrived.
Sichuan Aba Prefecture Fire Rescue Detachment dispatched a full-time team of Shuimo Township with 10 people in 1 vehicle to the epicenter to check the disaster.
At the same time, the Aba Prefecture Fire Rescue Detachment Earthquake Rescue Team with 8 vehicles and 60 people and the Chengdu Fire Rescue Detachment with 9 vehicles and 60 people quickly prepared for assembly.
It is reported that there were obvious tremors in parts of Chengdu, Deyang, Leshan and other places of the earthquake, and there were no reports of disasters and casualties for the time being.
