On Thursday, July 15, at the age of 70, Pyotr Mamonov, a Soviet and Russian musician and actor, soloist and one of the founders of the rock group Zvuki Mu, died.

More than two weeks ago, he was hospitalized with a coronavirus infection.

Condolences to the artist's relatives are expressed by his friends and colleagues.

Russian theater and film actor, musician Denis Burgazliev said in an interview with RT that the news of Mamonov's death shocked him, despite the fact that he tried to be ready for any news.

“Although the last days were very difficult and we seemed to be preparing for any outcome, hope did not leave us.

When this news came, I was simply overwhelmed.

I have no words.

I can only offer my condolences to his wife, family and all of us, with the irreparable loss that we all suffered together.

A wonderful person with a capital letter, an artist, a brilliant artist and a real rock musician, is gone.

Unfortunately, there are no more of these among us.

This is an irreparable loss, ”says Burgazliev.

Director, screenwriter and producer Pavel Lungin, with whom Mamonov has collaborated more than once, noted that the artist, in his opinion, has always been incomprehensible.

“Peter was not fully understood and appreciated.

Until the end, apparently, he did not understand himself.

I feel orphaned.

It is very bitter and painful, ”Lungin admitted.

The theater and film actor Sergei Parshin said in an interview with RT that before meeting Pyotr Mamonov he was interested in his music, and after a personal meeting, the artist revealed himself to him from a fundamentally new side.

“I worked with him in one picture“ The time of sadness has not come yet ”.

Before that, I knew him as a musician, this legendary ensemble "Sounds of Mu".

But during the filming, he appeared to me as a completely different person.

Before me a man appeared with such a life biography, with his philosophy of goodness, love for God, and for one's neighbor, and for nature, and for a profession.

After working with him in the cinema, I remembered him very often.

And if there was some kind of TV show with his participation, an interview, then of course I dropped everything and watched, ”said the actor.

He stressed that Mamonov was "close to him in the perception of the world and life."

“And therefore this loss is irreplaceable.

There are very, very few people like Pyotr Nikolaevich.

He was a real person.

I mourn with everyone and offer my condolences to his family.

Everlasting memory.

I will always remember him, while I walk, while I live, while I breathe, ”said Sergei Parshin.

The actor Semyon Strugachev remembered Pyotr Mamonov as an intelligent and decent person.

“He was a wonderful, thoughtful, smartest philosopher of life, whom you could sit and listen to for hours with your mouth open.

He was decent and spiritually rich.

Of course, it's insanely sorry.

This is a great tragedy for me.

I've always envied people like him.

This is good envy, this is what it strives for.

Very, very sorry, "- said the artist.

Actor Sergei Gazarov also shared his memories of Pyotr Mamonov.

Artists happened to work together.

Gazarov speaks of his colleague as a sympathetic and kind interlocutor.

“We even talked more than worked together.

But if you somehow try to sum everything together, then this person for me, for all his brutality and eccentricity, was extremely simple, very gentle, kind, very sympathetic.

He could talk to you on some nonsense issue, but he could somehow exhaustively him ... Not get off with one or two phrases, but somehow his complicity was very noticeable, in fact.

As a partner, I'm not even talking about how great he is, "- the TV channel" 360 "quotes the artist.

Sergey Gazarov added that Pyotr Mamonov could have done a lot in life, since “he was an extremely fruitful person who created sounds, thoughts, ideas out of nothing”.

Musician, vocalist of the AuktsYon group Oleg Garkusha, in an interview with the Zvezda TV channel, recalled his acquaintance and further communication with Mamonov.

“Of course, it is very sad that Pyotr Nikolayevich Mamonov died.

We met him somewhere in the mid-1980s, when we came to the rock laboratory for the festival.

And then, a little later, in 1989, we went to France for the festival, we, the Sounds of Mu and the Kino group.

It was great and fun.

And, of course, when he came to us in St. Petersburg, I went to his performances: we hugged, kissed, talked.

It is a pity that such a wonderful, brilliant person no longer exists, ”said the musician.

The general director of Mosfilm, Karen Shakhnazarov, noted that he was not personally acquainted with the Mamonovs and was not interested in his musical work, but admitted that he was an outstanding actor.

“He was a truly magnificent actor, the images that he created in Pavel Lungin's paintings“ The Island ”and“ Tsar ”, of course, these are amazing acting works.

Of course, very, very sorry, "Gazeta.ru quotes Karen Shakhnazarov.

Director Alexander Molochnikov also said in an interview with the publication that Pyotr Mamonov was a unique artist, interesting not only for his creative activity, but also for his personality.

“He created his own world in art.

I think he lived an interesting, unlike anyone else's life.

For me personally, Mamonov remained a punk until his last days.

His profession is called Pyotr Mamonov.

He is not a musician, not an artist, all these professions are less than himself.

Mamonov worked by himself - and he has no other colleagues, ”said the filmmaker.

According to musician Sergei Ryzhenko, Mamonov's death was a huge loss for Russian rock and marked the end of an era.

“A whole era is gone.

A person who was able to change his life, such, in general, only a few, was able to radically change his fate, and at the same time to realize himself as much as possible.

This is an irreparable loss in our rock music, and, of course, he was an artist with a capital letter and an absolutely amazing person.

It's sad, ”Ryzhenko said in an interview with REN TV.
