[Explanation] With the sound of music in their ears, several dancers sitting in wheelchairs adjusted the angle of the wheelchair with their hands while performing graceful dances.

A few days ago, this "dance troupe" in a wheelchair represented the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region in the 11th National Paralympic Games and the 8th Special Olympics Wheelchair Dance Competition, and won the team dance runner-up.

Recently, the reporter met them here in Hohhot.

[Explanation] It is understood that this team is composed of 6 disabled dancers and 6 athletes from the Inner Mongolia Dance Sports Association.

It is worth mentioning that these wheelchair dancers had a zero dance basis before joining the team, and the dances that participated in the competition combined rumba, cowboys, waltz and other dance elements. It only took about 70 days from the establishment of the team to the competition. Therefore, they have overcome many difficulties that ordinary people can hardly overcome, and even practiced so that their arms are swollen and painful to sleep.

In the process of practicing wheelchair dance, I encountered a lot of difficulties. I couldn't master the wheelchair, and my arm hurts every day, and my whole body hurts.

When I was resting, my arms were really uneven, and Fangping hurts and I couldn't sleep. My hands were swollen every day, and sometimes I tremble with chopsticks in the morning.

We achieved this result in this wheelchair dance. I am really satisfied with my own feeling. I have a smile on my face and self-confidence. It really changed me a lot when I went back this time.

[Explanation] Because of the zero dance foundation, the movement accuracy and facial expression control of the wheelchair dancers have become difficult problems that need to be overcome. In addition to daily training, they often practice collectively, guide each other, and encourage each other.

In addition to the help from her teammates, Fang Na of the "post-80s" also received strong support from her family. Fang Na's lover incarnation "bodyguard" accompanies her to take care of her daily life.

The son who will take the college entrance examination next year also follows his mother as an example, giving Fang Na courage and strength.

[Explanation] For 52-year-old Li Guiying, wheelchair dancing has fulfilled her dream of dancing for many years.

Due to polio, Li Guiying had to sit in a wheelchair when she was 3 years old, but she who loves dancing has a dream of dancing since she was careful. Now that she is more than half a hundred years old, her dream has finally come true.

In fact, it is said that our physical condition does not allow dancing, and it has nothing to do with dancing.

Then every time I see people dancing, I feel like I’m dancing and follow them.

Just like this time when we came into contact with this wheelchair dance and learning this dance, we have realized a dance dream.

[Explanation] It is understood that this year is the first time for the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region to participate in the Special Olympics wheelchair dance competition. In addition to winning the runner-up in collective dance, it also won the fifth place in the five mixed Latin dances and the eighth place in the three mixed Latin dances.

According to the head coach of wheelchair dance, due to the lack of dance foundation of the wheelchair players and the inconvenience of the lower limbs, it is not easy to obtain such results nowadays.

[Concurrent] Hao Xiulan, head coach of wheelchair dance

Starting from a zero foundation, the difficulty is relatively large, so after one dance, one dance to attack, and one action to correct each action, we went through a difficult combination (more than two months), so basically It was taken down. We were able to win the runner-up for the first time in the competition and the second place in the country. We felt very pleased.

The athletes are also very excited, especially the disabled athletes, they really shed tears.
