On July 13, the artificially bred three-tailed leopard shark appeared in the Changlong Ocean Kingdom in Zhuhai, Guangdong.

Among the three-tailed leopard shark babies, two are females and one is male. This is the second successful breeding of leopard sharks in Changlong Ocean Kingdom.

At present, the baby three-tailed leopard shark lives in a nursery pond with a water temperature of 26.3℃-26.8℃ and a dissolved oxygen of 7.9-8.4mg.

The conservation team used various baits such as prawns, squids, and sixties to make a muddy flesh for them to eat.

Because the leopard shark has a special muscle group in the oral cavity, the muscle movement produces suction when eating, and the food is sucked into the mouth. Based on this characteristic, the nurses made special feeding tools for the leopard shark baby to avoid direct contact between humans and animals. Feeding.

Leopard shark is an endangered marine species, and its breeding has problems such as low fertilization rate of shark eggs and low hatching rate of fertilized eggs.
