"Yongle Dadian" and "Heavenly Creations" gathered in the National Classics Museum

  Known as the "largest encyclopedia in the history of the world", "Yongle Dadian" is a collection of Chinese encyclopedia-style documents, preserving Chinese historical geography, literature and art, philosophy and religion and other encyclopedia documents before the 14th century.

The National Classics Museum, located in the southern area of ​​the National Library of China, exhibited more than 60 kinds of exhibits and more than 70 volumes this time, fully introducing the "Yongle Dadian" and its inheritance history.

Among them, nine copies of Jiajing were exhibited for the first time in recent years.

  In the form of charts and descriptions of key events, the exhibition comprehensively sorted out the history of "Yongle Dadian" entering the National Library of Tibet through various channels such as government allocation, overseas return, collector donations, and employee search. "Dadian" and other rare ancient books moved south, and the return of "Yongle Dadian" overseas.

Also exhibited side by side include more than 40 ancient books such as Ming manuscripts, Ming carved editions, and Ming rubbings, as well as relevant archive copies of the "Yongle Dadian" collected by the National Library in different periods.

  Published in 1637, Tiangong Kaiwu is a comprehensive scientific and technological work in ancient China, supplemented by illustrations that record the production technology categories in the fields of agriculture and handicrafts.

This exhibition introduces the content and characteristics of Tiangong Kaiwu, and its spread and influence overseas, and displays different versions of Tiangong Kaiwu and related documents, such as the tenth year of Chongzhen in the Ming Dynasty (1637) Song Yingxing self-printed edition, late Ming and early Qing dynasty books Lin Yang Suqing, Japan Minghe 8th year (1771) Osaka Sugasedo printed edition, as well as French, Japan, the United States and other countries on the translation, compilation and research of "Heavenly Creations" works, etc.
