[Hong Kong Story] Hong Kong artists delve into woodcarving skills to show Chinese culture to the world

  [Explanation] The eighteenth class of martial arts, exquisite carving, is a Hong Kong artist who is demonstrating woodcarving skills, named Chen Yushu, who is the fourth generation inheritor of classical furniture making skills.

In order to give a gift for the centenary of the founding of the party, he devoted himself to the creation of a series of furniture works called "Tong Dao" six months ago.

  The tenon and tenon structure of the furniture symbolizes cohesion, unity, and fit. The simple shapes of these lines represent the hardship and simplicity of the Chinese Communist Party.

The crutch patterns on the teeth and grids, as well as these gentle straight lines and curved arcs, symbolize the tortuous environment in our journey.

Therefore, some of the snails, dharma wheel, goldfish, and pan length on these sculptures belong to the eight treasure patterns, and some fish drums, jade flutes, and swords belong to the Taoist eight treasures (patterns). We put this set of works to symbolize our Chinese culture. Tolerant and mutual-learning work, we named it "Together with Joys and Sorrows".

  [Explanation] Chen Yushu was born in Putian, Fujian. In 1973, he was born in a woodworking family.

Under the subtle influence of his ancestors, Chen Yushu has developed a keen interest in classical woodcarving furniture since he was a child.

In 1997, he went to Southeast Asia and traveled north and south, dedicated to telling the world the charm of Chinese classical wood carving art.

  When I was 24 years old, I went to Southeast Asia alone. I moved to Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, then to Cambodia, Laos, Vietnam, then to Australia, and then to the island country of Fiji in the South Pacific. Some art lovers communicate together.
