[Explanation] In the early morning of July 12, a fire broke out in a sub-house in a tenement building in Tai Po Rural Committee Square, Hong Kong. One woman and two girls died.

The head of the housekeeper was injured and was arrested on suspicion of "murder" and "arson".

In the afternoon of the same day, the Hong Kong police held a press conference to briefly describe the case.

  After preliminary investigation, the police arrested the man on suspicion of "murder" and "arson". Four persons were immediately taken to the hospital for rescue. A 42-year-old woman was certified dead at 3:27 in the morning. As for the two 13 Girls aged 8 years and 8 years old were also certified dead at 3:36 am and 3:54 am respectively. As for the man arrested in the case, he is now sent to the Prince of Wales Hospital (Hong Kong) for further treatment .

  Preliminary investigations revealed that the arrested person and the 42-year-old deceased woman were in a romantic relationship. The two children were the biological daughters of the 42-year-old deceased woman. At the time of the incident, it was believed that the two adults had a dispute over relationship issues and the arrested person was suspected of being involved. The deceased woman was attacked with a sharp weapon. The two girls in the room were estimated to have suffered stab wounds in an attempt to prevent the assault (the deceased woman). Initially, the police found that the deceased woman had more than 40 stab wounds. As for the two girls, they also had stab wounds. 5 and 3 stab wounds.

The police believed that someone deliberately set fire at the scene after the attack. The fire was caused by the direct ignition of the open flame.
