Egyptian law prohibits four categories of names, as they are in violation of the law. At the same time, the Egyptian Dar al-Iftaa identified a number of names that exceeded 109 names that are forbidden by Sharia to name children.

The Egyptian lawyer explains that it is not permissible to share two brothers or two sisters from the father in one name, and it is not permissible for the name to be a compound, such as Naguib Mahfouz, in addition to the name contrary to public order, which is a name that is an insult to its owner or an insulting word for absolute modesty, and the name Contrasting with the heavenly laws, a name that carries an insult to the sanctities in the laws such as Abd al-Lat or Abd al-Azza.

At the level of Sharia, the lawyer explains to the Egyptian newspaper “Al-Watan” that it exceeds 109 names, which are the names of God, which number 99, in addition to these names: Abd Yaghos, Abd Nasri, Abd Sawa, King of Kings, Sultan of Sultans, Ruler of Rulers, Abd al-Azzi, Abd al-


 Najm Abd al-Sha’ari, as it is forbidden to name every temple name added to other than God Almighty, if it is in the direction of worship or veneration, but naming the Prophet and Abd al-Rasul, it is permissible according to Sharia.
