All the Cinemas of the World takes up its Cannes neighborhoods to bring you the 74th edition of the biggest film festival in the world.
We have been waiting for this moment for a year and a half, since the cancellation last year (2020), due to the coronavirus pandemic, then the postponement of the edition which should have been held in May.
Publicity
We are therefore back in Cannes and we find our landmarks: white tents of the international village (even if they are less numerous than usual), the sun is more biting, we hear the cicadas singing on the passage of festival-goers.
Festival-goers in tuxedos or evening dresses who pass tourists in swimsuits coming up from the beach.
It's a new image: just like the mask on the red carpet, or the QR code attesting to a complete vaccination or a negative PCR test that one must present to enter the palace.
We welcome to the RFI studio, installed, as every year at the Cinémas du monde pavilion, our partners: the Directors 'Fortnight, and its general delegate
Paolo Moretti
, the Critics' Week with
Charles Tesson
, and
Constance Meyer
, including the first feature film
Robuste
(with Gérard Depardieu as a tired actor and Deborah Lukumuena as a security guard) opened Critics' Week.
