Ahmed Al-Awadi: Yasmine Abdel Aziz is a red line, and paid smear campaigns are happening

The Egyptian artist Ahmed Al-Awadi described what his wife, artist Yasmine Abdel Aziz, is subjected to as “smear campaigns.”

Al-Awadi wrote, on his official Facebook page: "Of course, the smear campaign against Yasmine is well-known and it is known who saw her, and I have remained silent for the time being out of respect for the respected audience, but my wife is a red line, and this is for everyone who deliberately distorts Yasmine in front of society."

He added: “Not responding to all transgressions is out of respect for the respected audience and in implementation of the saying of our master Omar (Defeat falsehood by keeping silent about it), and in compliance with the saying of Imam Al-Shafi’i (If a fool addresses you, do not answer him, for it is better than his silence).

He said: "The paid and continuous smear campaigns against me and Yasmine are nothing but miserable attempts, they will not work, I will not exceed respect for everyone, and my hope for those who beg himself to distort the image of Jasmine is calm and comfort."

He added: "Please abolish the committees and counter-committees. It is better to save all this money for charitable works. It is better not to go beyond respect for prestige, and out of respect for the dear audience. Thank you to the respected, aware, educated public."

He ended his statement by saying: "If this campaign continues, I will reveal a lot to my beloved wife. I support you in all adversities, so that I can give you all the love, appreciation and respect."
