The traffic is denser Saturday morning on the country's highways on this first weekend of school holidays, synonymous with departures, the day being classified red throughout the territory by Bison Futé.
By mid-morning, the journey time between Lyon and Orange (Vaucluse) was already extended by around an hour on the A7, with a traffic jam spread over 74 kilometers between the Vienne toll and the south of Valence.

The A7 and A9 to avoid
Peak traffic is expected for midday and motorists will have to be patient to reach their destination.
"Traffic will be heavy on most of the major routes heading south and coastal regions," Bison Futé warned during the week.
