Jada Pinkett Smith quits drugs after embarrassing incident
By the late 1990s, Jada Pinkett Smith had reached a critical juncture in drug and alcohol use.
As she revealed on the set of
Red Table Talk
, the actress was blithely mixing wine, ecstasy and weed.
"It was my cocktail," she recalled, admitting that she was unaware of her addiction at the time.

“I went to work stoned and it was a bad batch of ecstasy.
And I passed out.
I told everyone that I must have taken old medicine in a vitamin vial.
But I'll tell you what I did, however.
I pulled myself together and went to this set.
It was the last time.
Once I was going to take that third bottle of wine and I was like, "You have a problem", and it was drastic that day.
That day, I just stopped, ”she explained.
