Yemeni artist Shehab Al-Shaarani was attacked with a sharp object in front of his house in Sanaa, in an incident that the young singer described as an "assassination attempt".

The artist, Al-Shaarani, said in a post on his official account on Facebook that he monitored it, "Today I was subjected to an assassination attempt and deliberate killing, had it not been for God's kindness, then the neighbors and people near my residence.

Al-Shahrani explained that a person visited him to his home to take pictures with him, and when he came out to him, he was surprised that he was hiding a sharp dagger and directly stabbed him in the neck with four fatal stabs, but by the grace of God it did not agree with the vein.

Regarding his current health, he confirmed that he was “in good health after being transferred to a hospital in Sana’a for treatment,”

noting that he “reserved his legal and legitimate right to know the reasons, motives, retribution and prosecution, especially with the absence of any enmity against him.”
