Here is an artistic installation that is out of the ordinary.

Produced by the Italian Paloa Pivi, this exhibition presents 25,000 memes and jokes collected from Internet users in 60 different countries during the Covid-19 pandemic.

"This work is an important step in my art", explains Paola Pivi.

The location of the installation is also no accident.

La Vieille Charité sheltered many sick people during the plague of 1720 in Marseille.

"It is a great pride to host this unique and refreshing exhibition", rejoices Jean-Marc Coppola, Culture Assistant.

The artist began this archival work almost immediately after the first confinement in Italy.

“I was in Milan and was very scared.

Jokes are one way to psychologically compensate for this.
