Aesthetics of Khorfakkan Amphitheater adorns a stamp issued by "Emirates Post"

Emirates Post issued a commemorative stamp documenting the aesthetics of the Khor Fakkan Amphitheater, the latest cultural edifice celebrated by the Emirate of Sharjah, which was inaugurated by His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Member of the Supreme Council and Ruler of Sharjah, in December 2020, to be an artistic architectural landmark that enriches the artistic and creative movement in the emirate and the state.

The Chairman of the Sharjah Media Council, Sheikh Sultan bin Ahmed Al Qasimi, received from the CEO of Emirates Post Group, Abdullah Muhammad Al Ashram, a bronze-framed plaque of the new stamp, in the presence of the Director of the Sharjah Government Media Office, Tariq Saeed Alai, and the Director of Events and Projects, Saleh Ghorbal, and the Executive Director of Corporate Affairs. At Emirates Post, Obaid Mohammed Al Qatami, and Acting Executive Director of Retail Rashid Hariz Al Falasi.

The stamp, which came with dimensions of 48 x 33 mm and a commemorative card of 120 x 150 mm, embodies a night image of the amphitheater in which its entire architecture appears from the top, illuminated by its Roman columns and its distinguished engineering style. It bears, in an artistic form, the phrase of His Highness the Ruler of Sharjah: “We, as mortal human beings, remain, and the theater remains what Life remains.” The name of the amphitheater is written in the thuluth script on the left side, in the middle of the stamp on the upper side, the date of 2021.

Sheikh Sultan bin Ahmed Al Qasimi said: “Art has always been a living witness documenting civilizational achievements and embodying their value and status for peoples and societies. The launch of this character comes as an affirmation of the artistic status of the runway, and at the same time an expression of the symbolism of the character and its official significance. The character has historically been the bearer of landmarks, symbols and personalities. Which countries are proud of, and through which they present themselves before the world.”
