It is a growing market, despite the cessation of sports competitions for part of last year, online betting operators are in insolent health.

In 2020, nearly 5.4 billion euros were wagered in France, and a million new players (30% more than in 2019) started betting mainly via smartphone applications that allow betting on a result, on a match in a few clicks.

But behind the promises of easy money and head-spinning earnings is hiding predatory practices and a much less glowing reality.
