It is the summer vacation, and the weather is hot. It is also a prone and high-incidence period for drowning in open waters.

On the afternoon of July 4th, a senior national swimming coach with rich life-saving experience and Professor Feng Jie from the Sports College of Chongqing University came to Chongqing Nanbin Road Military Port Terminal to conduct open-water rescue skills training and share CPR lifesaving experience for lifeguards and the public.

During the training, Feng Jie gave on-site teaching on how to prevent drowning, how to deal with after drowning, how to rescue, how to relieve, and cardiopulmonary resuscitation.

Feng Jie said that if the drowning person has no breathing, no heartbeat, or unconsciousness, the lifeguard must immediately give the drowning person artificial respiration, then perform cardiopulmonary resuscitation, and immediately call the 120 emergency number.

A life-saving drill was also conducted at the event site to simulate a person drowning in the Yangtze River. Feng Jie taught lifeguards how to use a paddle board, towing in the water, and a lifeline.
