The 75th Festival d'Avignon opens in the main courtyard of the Palais des Papes this Monday, July 5.

Forty shows in the "In", more than a thousand in the "Off", which starts on Wednesday.

The old City of the Popes is reborn after the pandemic, although health constraints remain in force: compulsory mask in the city from 12 noon to 10 pm and "health pass" to enter the Court, the only place to welcome more than 1,000 spectators.

The director of the festival is the guest of RFI.
