According to local residents, the water level in the river significantly exceeded the record level of 1981.

This, according to the agency, is evidenced by a video filmed at a water gauge in the village of Kuibyshevo, Bakhchisarai district.

Judging by the footage, the river overflowed the banks there.

Earlier it was reported that one woman died in the Crimean village of Kuibyshev in the Bakhchisarai region due to dangerous weather, another was hospitalized.

Rescuers have begun work on the construction of a dam near the village of Sokoliny, Bakhchisaray District, in the southwest of the peninsula, in order to avoid further flooding due to heavy rainfall.

In Kuibyshevo, more than 50 private houses remain flooded, the Emergencies Ministry employees are evacuating the population.

The head of the Crimean hydrometeorological center, Tatyana Lyubetskaya, said that 133 mm fell in the Bakhchisarai region - two monthly norms.
