Streaming Wars

The term “Streaming wars” has become commonplace in the Western world press, and it is intended to compete with entertainment services on the Internet (streaming) such as “Netflix” and others.

The “Streaming Wars” will dominate the entertainment world during the third decade of the millennium, and news indicates that Disney has already started closing its television channels;

Because no one is watching it, she's focused on the Internet.

In the "Streaming Wars", "Paramount Plus" joined in late, and most of the criticism is about the chaos and poverty of its implementation, compared to the "Netflix" machine that has not stopped production since 2013, and the entertainment giant has become like the "vegetable and fruit market" on the Internet.

The strange thing is that Paramount is an ancient studio that was founded around 1912 along with the cinema. It is the second oldest studio, and despite its antiquity, its application is poor compared to the “Netflix” that has existed since 1997.

The Big Three in this war are: "Netflix" and "HBO Max" by Warner Bros., and "Hulu" by Disney, followed by "Disney Plus", "Peacock", "Apple" and "Prime Video" for Amazon.

What is happening now is that the weak wants to ally with the other weak so that they can form a strength in this market, or as the “Wall Street Journal” reported in its report that “NBC Universal” suggested to “Viacom” that owns “Paramount Plus” the possibility of merging together in order to be able to Survive this war at least.

The proposal comes in light of major management changes at Viacom to reduce losses and remain competitive.

There is news of the return of cinema in the Western press intersecting with other news that streaming services have become the norm for studios, and these are two contradictory facts, because the two models (cinema and streaming) are opposing and competing.

When we say that it has become the approved standard, it means that “Netflix” produces insane and “Max” releases any cinematic and streaming movie at the same time, and “Paramount” leaves 45 days for the cinema only before the film is released in its service;

Because no one wants to lose subscribers, especially those who joined services during the height of "Covid".

Any complacency by any service would be an unforgivable mistake in this emerging market;

Because it's the future, not cinema.

Attitude:

In this part of the world, far from the “Streaming Wars”, I found our press talking about the “new production philosophy” (words that frightened me when I read it), which is adopted by an “Arab series”, which is made up of silk threads.. Sorry, dramatic threads.

I did not finish reading the story because its writer did not respect my mind by not explaining the meaning of productive philosophy.

There is no production philosophy, but there is a public relations employee who thinks the reader is stupid, and a lazy journalist who reports without thinking.

Attitude:

I wanted to get out of the Streaming apps to see what was happening in The World I Left So I stopped at a local channel showing a series that aired several years ago.

I wrote his name and episode number in the YouTube app and found the entire series!

And I have a friend who is over 70 who watches 60s music videos on the same app!

And this seventy tells me: Which TV?

Who watches TV?!
